(WTVR) – As the heat rises the air quality gets worse.

The Richmond area is in the orange zone, which is just below dangerous but can still cause problems for some people with breathing issues.

The American Lung Association has launched a free smart phone app so you can track current air quality conditions.

It’s available for both the iPhone and Android.
