If you’re missing CBS 6 News and WTVR.com on Facebook, you’re not alone.

Several users have contacted the WTVR.com web team to report they are no longer seeing the station’s updates in their Facebook news feeds.

Facebook recently made some changes, including offering a section for paid, promoted posts. You may have noticed these showing up under a new “trending articles” section of the news feed.

Here are some of tips to make sure you’re still getting updates from CBS 6 on Facebook:

  • 1. Make sure your news feed is set to display posts by “most recent” instead of “top stories.”
  • 2. You’ll also want to watch for updates in Facebook’s real-time ticker. (This is the section on the right side of the page. This feature is not available on your smartphone.)

  • 4. Make sure you have “liked” CBS 6 and the option is checked to display our posts in your news feed.
  • 5. Finally, the best way to see all of our updates is to visit our Facebook timeline directly. (Just make sure you change the page mode from “highlights” to “posts by page” in order to see posts in chronological order.)
