HENRICO, Va – Heavy fire damage to a Northside home on Tuesday evening.
Henrico County Division of Fire responded to a report of a house on fire, at 8:20 p.m., in the 2300 block of Fleet Ave.
Cpt. James Mellon said units arrived within three minutes.
Fire was blazing from the roof of a two-story single family residential structure. All occupants were safely out of the home.
Then crews entered and discovered heavy fire conditions in a partially finished second floor, said Mellon.
The fire was brought under control in about 20 minutes.
Two firefighters sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment, said Mellon, though neither suffered life-threatening injuries.
Three adults and one child were displaced because of this fire.
The American Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the occupants.
