JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The Charles City County Fire Department and surrounding fire departments organized a benefit concert for a volunteer firefighter recovering from an accident.

Mike Buchanan was responding to a call on May 20th when the tanker truck he was driving ran off the road.

He was flown to VCU Medical Center and still remains in critical condition.

His friends say Buchanan has volunteered for years with both the Charles City County Fire Department and the Providence Ford Rescue Squad.

The concert is being held to help Buchanan's family with the financial burden.
