Roof collapses after fire at Kings Charter clubhouse

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – An early morning fire destroyed part of the clubhouse at the Kings Charter neighborhood pool in Mechanicsville, Va.

Neighbors told CBS 6 the fire started around 2:00 a.m. Hanover fire crews said it took about an hour to bring the fire under control.

No one was injured in the fire.

Hanover Fire Battalion Chief Larry Snyder told CBS 6 the morning fire is one of three incidents currently under investigation in the Kings Charter neighborhood.

Snyder said there was an incident a few hours prior to the clubhouse fire and another one a few weeks ago.

The cause of all three fires remained under investigation.
