RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Eric Cantor has some competition for his 7th District seat in Congress. Democrat Wayne Powell will run against him in November, but first, Cantor will face Floyd Bayne in next week's Republican primary.

Bayne calls himself a "citizen legislator," not a politician. Bayne talked with Sam Brock on CBS 6 News at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday about tangling with Cantor in next week's primary.

CBS 6 has also interviewed Powell on set. The station has also invited Eric Cantor to appear on set -- and a spokesperson said Cantor will try to appear sometime before next weeks' primary.

Count on CBS 6 News and WTVR.com for complete coverage of Campaign 2012.
