The average global temperature for May has been released, and the surface temperature of the earth was found to have been 0.29 degrees C (about a half a degree F) warmer than the 30-degree average. May makes three consecutive months of above-normal monthly global temps, after starting 2012 with two months of below-normal monthly temps. -Zach
