RICHMOND (WTVR) -CBS 6 Sports has learned that the Richmond Spiders may be getting another football transfer in time for this fall.

Chad Kolumber, a 6-foot-6, 318 lb redshirt freshman offensive lineman at Kansas is said to be headed to UR and will be eligible to play this year.

Kolumber is originally from Norristown, PA, but played in high school at Woodberry Forest in Orange, VA. He was named first-team all-state for prep schools as a senior.

Last year for the Jayhawks, Kolumber appeared in five games, debuting against Georgia Tech and helping Kansas roll up 296 rushing yards against Baylor.

Kolumber would be the latest on a list of transfers that have come to the Spiders in recent years, including QB Aaron Corp from USC, TE Andrew Tallman from Miami, OT Richard Muldrow from Rutgers and safety Cooper Taylor from Georgia Tech.
