HENRICO, Va. (WTVR) – The suspect in a Henrico shooting late Monday night has turned himself into detectives.

A late-night Monday shooting in the eastern part of the county injured a 22-year-old woman.

When officers arrived at the Essex Village apartments, along the 200 block of Engleside Circle, they found a female victim with non-life threatening injuries. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Detective’s investigation led them to charge Mr. Chazz Lee Gordon with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Gordon turned himself on Tuesday, said police.

This was the second shooting at the apartment complex this month. Two weeks ago, 21-year-old Isaiah Baylor was shot and killed in the parking lot.

Police are still looking for his killer.

Neighbors say the complex has asked them to observe an 11 o’clock curfew, to try and make people living in the area feel safer.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
