Memorial Day parade rolls through Sandston

SANDSTON, Va. (WTVR) - Hundreds of people lined the streets of Sandston to see this year's Memorial Day parade. The American Legion Sandston Post 242 hosted the parade. This year's theme was “Honor Our Veterans.”

After the parade Boy Scouts Troop 529 passed out hot dogs, chips and drinks. Rothmel Fortune, Assistant WEBELOS Leader for Cub Scout Pack 520, told CBS 6 the scouts cooked, prepared and served more than 1,700 hotdogs. Cub Scout Pack 520 also participated in the parade.
