Unlawful assembly charges dropped; protesters offered deal

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – An agreement was reached Friday for more than two dozen activists arrested at the State Capitol advocating for women’s rights.

Charges of unlawful assembly were dropped – leaving each protester with just a charge of trespassing.

Additionally, the judge said he would take those charges under advisement for six months — and would likely dismiss them if there were no more problems.
