Felony indictment planned against hit-and-run suspect

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond prosecutors says they plan to seek an indictment against a suspect in a hit and run accident that killed one man and injured another.

It happened Saturday, April 21st in Shockoe Bottom.

Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Tracy Thorne-Begland said he plans to present evidence to a grand jury against the suspect, 36-year-old Jennifer Jeon Slemp.

Police say the victims fell into the street during a fight. Slemp is accused of hitting them and then driving away.

Investigators say 25-year-old David Boyd was killed and his friend was seriously injured.
