CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR) - Telling everyone inside to hit the floor, and forcing a couple of adults to take off their clothes before shoving a gun into five-year-old girl’s neck and stomach, a home invasion Wednesday evening in Chesterfield County has neighbors wondering whether the victims knew their attackers.

It’s a crime that has frightened people in the community so badly, they didn’t want their faces on television.

"I have a newborn,” said one neighbor who didn’t want her named used.  “I don't want them finding me."

Others who lived next door say they were getting ready to fix a spaghetti dinner, when two men just walked in, shouting for everyone to hit the floor.

“People need money nowadays and will do just about anything I guess," said neighbor Aaron Brown.

Chesterfield police were called to the 3100 block of Parkdale Drive near Bensley Elementary School for a home invasion where two suspects simply walked in through the door and made demands.

“They asked for money, guns, flipped the couch over smashed glassware," said the neighbor with the newborn.

A five-year-old girl who lives there had the gun held to her neck and stomach.

Her mother says the gunman and his accomplice threatened numerous times that they they’d squeeze the trigger.  The mother also tells us a few adults were told to strip down to nothing, and had their cell phones swiped.

“It just proves what type of people they were," Brown said.

Shaken and shocked, the victims did not want to go on camera.  But their next-door neighbor says they’re handling it as best they can.  "What's a bank do after they're robbed?  They open the next day," said Brown.

Police say cash clothes and guns were taken in the home invasion.  One man living at the residence operates a tattoo parlor in the home.  Police are looking at past client lists to see if they can make a connection and an arrest.
