Man found under Route 288 bridge flown to hospital
GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A man found under the Route 288 bridge connecting Goochland and Powhatan Counties was flown to the hospital Monday morning.
Witnesses told Virginia State Police they saw a man jump from the bridge around 10:00 a.m. Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar said a state police helicopter located the man, who was on the shore by the time a rescue crew arrived.
The man was flown to the hospital for treatment.
Sgt. Molnar said the incident remained under investigation.
