ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WTVR) - An electrician from Northern Virginia will spend the next 12 years in prison.
Jubair Ahmad, who is from Pakistan but lives in Woodbridge, pleaded guilty in December to supporting a terrorist organization.
According to court documents, in September 2010, the 24 year-old produced and uploaded a propaganda video to YouTube on behalf of a Pakistan terrorist group.
Prosecutors sought a maximum term of 15 years.
They said that in addition to producing the video, Ahmad also received military training from the terrorists and professed a wish to die as a martyr.
