RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Work along the Shockoe Valley Bridge could put a major crimp in your weekend commute for the next five weekends.
Crews will be doing concrete repairs and repairs to joints and steel sections, weather permitting.
Workers will shut down two lanes over the Shockoe Valley Bridge (mile marker 191). This will occur between 7 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday.
Here are the scheduled closures:
- May 4-7: I-64 west–left and center lanes closed (right travel lane open)
- May 11-14: I-64 east–left and center lanes closed (right travel lane open)
- May 18-21: I-64 east–left and center lanes closed (right travel lane open)
- June 1-4: I-64 east–right and center lanes closed (left travel lane open)
This schedule may change due to unfavorable weather conditions. The weekends of June 8th and 15th will be held as alternate construction dates.
