Mega Millions jackpot grows to near record level

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The jackpot for tonight’s Mega Millions drawing is $363 million.

It is the third-largest Mega Millions jackpot ever. Virginia Lottery spokesman John Hagerty said strong ticket sales helped boost the jackpot since Friday’s drawing.

Hagerty said seven Mega Millions jackpots have been won in Virginia since the game began in 2002. In March 2007, Mega Millions hit its record-high jackpot — $390 million.
