RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – There was a bit of an unusual scene outside Richmond Police headquarters downtown Friday afternoon.
Mothers, and some other concerned folks, held a protest with chalk.
The protesters said they wanted to show their disapproval over police writing a ticket to a Richmond mom last weekend.
The mother claimed she was cited for destruction of property when her daughter drew a picture with chalk on some rocks at Belle Isle.
Police officers were present at the protest, but officials said they cannot comment on an ongoing case.
