HILLANDALE, Md. (WUSA) – A customer trying to buy a $20 cassette adapter at a Radio Shack in Maryland said she received an insulting message at the bottom of her receipt.

WUSA-TV reports that Shanae Lewis' problems began when she went to pay for the adapter and learned about a five-cent bag tax in Montgomery County.

Since she lives in Baltimore, she said she had never heard of the tax before. After going back and forth with the associate about the tax, Lewis said she opted to just ask for her money back and forget the adapter.

However, when the associate went to give her the refund, she noticed "ugly itch, ghettohood, usa, tattoville, Maryland" typed at the bottom of the receipt.

Lewis said the associate told her he was only kidding, but she failed to see the humor in the situation.
