Fans give VCU Rams big send-off
RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Virginia Commonwealth University Rams, seeded number 12, head from the River City to the Rose City to play the Wichita State Shockers–seeded number 5.
About a 200 people showed up to send the Rams on their way to Portland Tuesday. That did not come close to matching the more than 1,000 fans who saw the team off to Houston in 2011.
However, students and alumni said that spring break had a lot to do with the low turnout — and that Rams Pride still runs deep.
That game will be shown on CBS 6, at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 15.
