Police: Shoplifter stuffs shirt down pants, punches officer in the face

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers released video of a crime hoping to generate tips that lead to an arrest.

Chesterfield Police said on Thursday, Feb. 2, at about 4:25 p.m., two men walked into the Marshall's at 4020 Meadowdale Blvd.

Police said the store’s loss-prevention officer saw one of the men put a polo shirt into his pants.

When the officer attempted to stop the man from leaving the store, police said a fight ensued. Eventually the man punched the officer in the face and ran.

Police said the two suspects drove off in a white Ford Taurus.
