Gilpin Court shooting under investigation

Police are investigating reports of shots fired in Gilpin Court.

The gunfire was reported at the intersection of 1st and Federal Streets, just after 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Police sources told CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett that the shooting occurred during a robbery.The victim was walking down the street when he was approached by the suspect, who carried a handgun.

Polic said that the gun did fire, although no one was injured from the bullets. The victim has non-life threatening injuries. Police said that there is a mark on the victim’s face. It could be from the gun.

Police are still in the area searching for the suspect.
