HENRICO COUNTY, Va (WTVR)- Sunday marks two years.

Henrico investigators continue to work on Terry Nero’s case. The information hasn’t exactly stalled, but it’s just trickling in.

Now Terry and friends are offering some financial incentive for folks to turn the shooter in.

That single shot haunts a Far West End neighborhood. “Most people around here are nervous and rightfully so," said Nero.

A conversation with Nero’s mother in his kitchen ended up with her calling 9-1-1 for help and Nero enduring a shattering shot to his jaw.

“This was thought out,” he said.  “Complicated and somewhat involved."

But who was involved?  Nero believes whoever pulled the trigger plotted a cold and calculated killing.  The only hiccup in the plan was the fact that Nero survived.

"I have more anxiousness at this point,” he said.  “Being that it's two years later."

Investigators work every lead that comes their way.  Now Nero is hoping to raise the stakes by offering a cash reward for pertinent information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

“Some people supporting me are putting up 5000 dollars,” Nero said.  “It's not much, but I hope it means something to somebody for whatever reason."

Nero has a website http://terryneroshooting.yolasite.com/ where you can post information anonymously.  It also has the history of his case and specifics about the reward.  He’s hoping CBS 6 viewers and readers will take a look and help him close the chapter on the darkest day of his life.  "My whole purpose in life is to get this case over with so I can move on," he said.
