A trial related to the 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech is now underway in Christiansburg.
The parents of two of the 32 shooting victims killed in the massacre are suing the school.
They say Virginia Tech officials should’ve done more to alert the Blacksburg campus after two students were found shot to death in a dorm, before Sueng-Hui Cho shot 30 and killed more people in Norris Hall.
The families of Julia Pryde and Erin Peterson are the only families of the victims killed who didn’t accept a share of an $11 million dollar settlement state settlement.
Those families who did accept the deal agreed not to file a lawsuit against the state.
Top Virginia Tech officials are expected to testify in the trial, which is expected to last all week.
