RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Another vigil was held Thursday night to remember the VCU nurse and mother struck and killed by a bullet while she was driving through Church Hill after visiting her son’s grave.

It has been seven weeks since 56-year-old Bonnie Marrow was killed.[VIDEO: Many questions remain after VCU nurse's shooting death]

Friends and family huddled in the cold on N. 25th street in Churchill, to mark the tragic anniversary and to remember both Marrow and her son, Robbie, during the candlelight vigil. Those who gathered said that they braved the cold to keep Marrow’s murder case from going cold.

The vigil was held at the intersection of North 25th and Venable streets,
across the street from Richmond's First Police Precinct, near where Marrow was found dead in her car. [STORY: Second tragedy hits family after mother is shot, killed near Church Hill]

No arrests have been made in the shooting deaths, but police said they are making progress in their investigations.

Louis Marrow told CBS 6, “ It’s a struggle every day.”  He wants to know who killed his wife and why. Investigators told CBS 6 she was shot just moments after visiting her son, Robert Cox’s grave, whose murder also remains a mystery.

Richmond Police spokesperson, Gene Lepley says Marrow’s case will be tough to close without key information. “We know within a 15 minute window of when that shot was fired that killed her."

"Now we need to put somebody into the scene as well," said Lepley. "We need to put the suspect into the scene,” says Lepley.

While police continue to look for a suspect, Louis Marrow says he is just trying to look forward. “It’s still an open wound. I miss her laugh. I miss his smile. I just miss them,” says Marrow.
