RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Police arrested a man accused of robbing a bank in Richmond, Virginia while dressed as a woman.

Richmond Police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh wrote in a press release that “citizen tips and good police work” lead to the arrest.

Police said they found Darrell Harrison, 46, hiding in a shed along Blooingdalge Avenue in the city’s Northside.

Police charged Harrison with robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection to the Jan. 18 bank robbery.

During that crime, police said Harrison walked into the Carytown Wells Fargo bank wearing a black full-length women’s fur coat, a fur brimmed leopard print hat, pink lipstick and sunglasses walked.

Police said he handed the teller a note demanding money.
