RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) - Richmond Police are investigating the death of a man struck and killed by a train, according to Richmond Police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh.

Waugh said the man was killed in South Richmond near the 4900 block of Old Midlothian Turnpike, near East Belt Boulevard, around 6:20 p.m. Monday evening.

Police are working to identify the man so they can notify his next of kin.
