Police investigate crime at Richmond restaurant

RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) - Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a Richmond restaurant.

In an email to CBS 6, Richmond Police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh said investigators were in the early stages of the investigation. Waugh hoped to be able to release information about suspects later in the day.

Police tape is up around the parking lot at the McDonald's restaurant located along the 800 block of Hull Street in South Richmond.

The crime scene is located across the street from Richmond Manchester General District Court on Hull Street.
