Crash involving GRTC bus shuts down eastbound Broad Street

HENRICO COUNTY, VA (WTVR) - A crash involving a GRTC bus and two cars has shut down traffic on eastbound Broad Street near Emerywood Parkway, just west of Glenside Drive, Tuesday afternoon.

CBS 6 News' Shelby Brown said at least five people have been taken to the hospital by ambulance. [PHOTOS: View Shelby's pics from crash scene]

One person was cut out from one of the cars. Additionally, a child was in that car's backseat.

There has been no word on the conditions of the passengers on the bus.

While crews work to clean up the wreck, eastbound Broad Street from Bethlehem to Emerywood has been blocked off.
