RICHMOND, Va. -- The sunrise Saturday morning was 6:59 a.m., making it the first sunrise before 7 a.m. since November 25.
The sunrise will continue to occur before 7 a.m. until we "spring forward" the clocks on March 8. After that, the sunrise will return to before 7 a.m. March 29.
Here is a look at how daylight has been changing since the start of winter. We will have over 12 hours of daylight by the time Spring starts.
