RICHMOND, Va. -- We are waking up to a few flurries , or patchy light drizzle or fog early this morning. Temperatures have been above freezing most of the night.

Today will be a partly cloudy and cold day, with highs in the mid 40s. Dry and cold weather will continue on Saturday, with highs again remaining in the mid 40s. Another storm system will bring a chance of rain to the area on Sunday and Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday look to be seasonally cool days under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. A strong cold front will bring a good chance of rain to the area on Christmas Eve, followed by much colder weather Christmas Day.

There is a slight chance for snow flurries or snow showers behind the front Christmas morning.
