Sunny & dry today, wet tomorrow

Today will be mostly sunny and cold, with highs only reaching the low to mid 40s. A strong storm system will bring another round of heavy rain to the area tomorrow. This system will have enough cold air to work with to produce a mix north and west of Richmond, and heavy snow along and west of the Blue Ridge. A winter storm watch is in effect for areas expecting to receive several inches of snow.

Cold and dry weather is expected for the remainder of the work week, with a slight warm-up this weekend. A few light showers appear possible on Sunday, but heavy rain is not expected.
