RICHMOND, Va. -- The early spring-like weather will continue for another day, as highs reach the upper 60s and low 70s again on Tuesday. We'll have considerable cloud cover and a very low chance for a few sprinkles in the afternoon and early evening.
Rain will become more likely as a cold front moves into Virginia on Wednesday. Highs Wednesday will vary greatly from north to south, depending on what side of the front you are on. The Richmond area will likely stay in the upper 50s and low 60s. Rain will become very likely on Thursday as a strong storm system moves through the region.
A upper-level low will move through the area Saturday night into early Sunday morning, bringing us a round of rain mixed with snow. Surface temperatures will be a little above freezing across much of the Piedmont and Tidewater, but some light accumulations of snow will be possible north and west of Richmond.
Dry and cool weather will resume Sunday through Monday, with more rain possible with a storm system arriving next Tuesday.
