Rain Arrives Late Thursday Night

RICHMOND, Va. -- High pressure will settle into the region tonight, resulting in clear and very cold conditions by Thursday morning. Expect mostly sunny skies Thursday, with high clouds arriving late in the day.

A storm system will bring a round of rain to the area Thursday night into Friday morning. The rain should end in the Richmond area by Noon Friday, but could linger across southeast Virginia well into the afternoon.

Saturday will be partly cloudy and cool, with highs in the low 50s. Model data continues to trend away from snow on Sunday, but sampling several days out is still poor. We'll continue to track the potential, but chances for significant wintry weather appear low.

A storm system will bring a chance of precipitation to the area during the middle of next week.
