A hot, humid, and at times stormy weekend

Chances for storms will be lower early next week

RICHMOND, Va. -- Variably cloudy and humid conditions will be around overnight, with a possibility of an isolated shower or two. Lows will be in the mid and upper 60s.

Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid, with scattered late day and evening thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe with damaging wind gusts and large hail. Highs will be near 90 Saturday and in the low 90s on Sunday.

Hot and humid conditions will continue early next week, with very little chance for storms on July 4th. Unsettled weather with higher chances for storms will return next Thursday and Friday.
