RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers will open their 2020 home schedule on Saturday, August 1 at City Stadium against the Fort Lauderdale CF, the affiliate of Inter Miami CF of Major League Soccer.
A maximum of 1,000 people will be allowed inside City Stadium, per local and state guidelines. Face coverings will be required for all fans and staff in attendance.
The organization says their comprehensive COVID-19 readiness plan, along with 2020 ticketing information will be released Wednesday, July 22.
The first-ever meeting between the two clubs will kickoff at 6:30 p.m.
The Kickers were scheduled to open their 2020 season on the road to face South Georgia Tormenta FC on Saturday, July 18.
The match has been postponed out of an abundance of caution following a positive COVID-19 test from a person in the Tormenta FC organization. A new date for the match will be announced at a later date.
Every match of the 2020 season will be available to stream live on ESPN+, with select matches available on WTVR CBS 6.3 (Comcast 206, Verizon FiOS 466)..
The full 2020 schedule is expected to be released in the coming days.
