RICHMOND, Va. -- The City of Richmond continues to honor first responders for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing free lunches.

Richmond Major Levar Stoney helped hand out lunch to police officers, firefighters and staffers from the 911 call center as part of the city's First Responder Meal Program at Garnett's in the Fan.

The city is paying for the meals to thank essential workers while supporting local restaurants.

Richmond restaurants can sign up to be a part of the program at RVAStrong.org.
