RICHMOND, Va. -- RVA Cheese Girl, who gained thousands of followers on Instagram after sharing pictures of her stunning cheese and charcuterie boards, is taking a big leap with her business.
Since Emmie Lewis launched the venture about a year ago, her social media following has skyrocketed as has demand for specialty boards.
While Lewis' personal kitchen had served as the home base where the unique creations were crafted, RVA Cheese Girl is now operating out of Hatch Kitchen in Manchester.
It is a move Lewis said will make for the cleanest, safest and most efficient environment to create the cheese boards for her growing clientele.
“You can put one of these cheese boards in the middle of your family and friends and it becomes the discussion point, right?” Lewis said. “People are like, 'I like the brie with the eucalyptus honey and the bruschetta.’ And someone else says, ‘I really like the cheddar with the pepper jelly.’ And there's all these different combinations, and we really try to put everything to where it will fit any taste pallet.”
Lewis said her website, RVACheeseGirl.com, is in the works and will launch soon.
