RICHMOND, Va. -- Michele Wilson hopes to bring comfort to families struggling to find a sense of normalcy as Virginians are urged to stay inside to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Wilson, the heart and soul behind Ma Michele's Cafe in Midlothian, has closed her dining room, but is still filling to-go and takeout orders for her made-from-scratch soul food.
And while she hopes her food brings families comfort, she is going an extra step to help ensure it nourishes those who need it most.
"With the children being out of school and parents trying to navigate through all of that, we are offering for each entree that you order, we're giving away two kids meals per household per order," Wilson said. "So to kind of take the edge off a little bit and with regard to dinner options."
Ma Michele's Cafe is located at 10811 Hull Street Road in the Victorian Square Shopping Center.
