RICHMOND, Va. -- We are in the middle of what some traffic safety experts consider "the 100 deadliest days" for teen drivers. That's the period from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
We spoke with Ivette Chaidez Villarreal of Impact Teen Drivers who shared her insight and experience on the topic.
The National Road Safety Foundation and hundreds of thousands of young people active in SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) are partnering to instead make it “The Safest Summer Ever,” with a social media campaign to call attention to a host of safe driving issues, from distracted and drowsy driving to impaired and aggressive driving. They are also encouraging passengers to speak up
when in a vehicle being driven dangerously.
