RICHMOND, Va. -- A disturbance will swing through the area Sunday as a cold front approaches from the north. This will cause scattered storms in the afternoon and early evening.
The storms will not affect all areas, but the storms that do develop will have heavy rainfall. The main severe threat will be damaging wind gusts.
There is a better chance of some severe storms in far southwestern Virginia into North Carolina.
Storm chances will decrease during the evening.
