RICHMOND, Va. -- The remnants of Laura will track through Virginia on Saturday.

Rain chances will increase by late morning and last through mid-afternoon.

The window of opportunity for rain and storms will be about three to six hours. The entire period will not be filled with heavy rain, but there will be some pockets of storms with heavy rainfall. Localized totals over an inch will be possible.

As the remnants pass by, a few gusts over 30 mph will be possible. Thunderstorms could be severe with damaging gusts (over 58 mph) and large hail.

Atmospheric conditions will support the potential for some tornadoes as well.

Most of the activity will exit eastern Virginia by early evening. Sunday will be dry and less humid.
