RICHMOND, Va. -- A cold front will move southward through the state Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening.
This will trigger scattered storms across parts of the area.
Rain chances will be higher west of Richmond and Interstate 95.
The front will linger in the area into Sunday, keeping the chance of a few showers or storms around. Due to the widely scattered nature of the rain, not all areas will see storms this weekend.
There will be a wide range in high temperatures on Sunday. Highs will be in the upper 60s near the coast, low to mid 70s in northern VA, near 80 in Richmond, and some mid 80s farther southwest.
A more significant system will stall across the area during the week ahead, bringing high chances for rain. This pattern will break down towards the end of the week.
