Hour-by-hour look at Thursday/Friday winter storm
As colder air filters in the from the north, rain will mix with and change to some wet snow. After highs around 40, temperatures will drop into the low and mid 30s Thursday evening. Some snow accumulation will occur, especially north of I-64. A coating to two inches is expected for most areas, but there will be some areas of 2-3". As warmer air moves in higher up in the atmosphere, we will see the snow change to some sleet and freezing rain overnight into Friday morning. Light ice accumulation will be possible. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Here's when the precipitation will turn more spotty Friday.
