RICHMOND, Va. -- A slow-moving cold front will cross the area Tuesday into Wednesday.
Rain chances will increase during Tuesday, with some steady rainfall likely by late in the day.
It looks like the heaviest period of rain will be from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.
Storms will gusty winds are possible Tuesday into Tuesday night as the cold front approaches.
There is the potential for 1 to 3 inches of rainfall from this system. The National Weather Service has the entire CBS 6 viewing area in a risk for excessive rainfall, from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Drier weather will return at the end of the week.
