RICHMOND, Va. -- Day two of the Virginia General Assembly special session begins Wednesday with a focus on bills impacting education and housing during the pandemic.

Bills up for discussion include ones where tenants would be offered a written notice of a terminated lease, told how much is owed, and given a payment plan before any kind of action was taken against them. Other bills would help landlords when a tenant failed to pay.

Education bills on the agenda deal with virtual learning and how schools provide computers and internet access to all students.

Paid sick leave for teachers will also be up for discussion and measures surrounding student absences during the pandemic will be shared.
