CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- State police are investigating a wreck that shut down Route 288 north not far Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County near the Powhatan County line Thursday night.
Crews were called to the with the serious crash just before 8:55 p.m., to the Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department
"All lanes are currently closed to allow a helicopter to land," crews said.
At least one person was seriously injured and medflighted to an area hospital.
VDOT officials said the wreck also closed the highway's south left shoulder and left lane are closed near the Midlothian Turnpike exit ramp.
Officials reported all lanes has reopened as if 11:55 p.m.
