HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A woman who was hit by a car while walking to a Wawa in Henrico on Friday has died, according to Henrico County Police.
Shelly Johnson, 41, of Henrico was walking from the 4000 block of Bethlehem Road towards the Wawa the intersection of Staples Mill Road and Bethlehem Road when she was struck by a Hyundai sedan traveling eastbound on Staples Mill Road.
The driver immediately stopped and is working with Crash Team Detectives during their investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates that speed nor alcohol were factors in this crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
