CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A woman was killed after a pickup truck went off the road and struck several trees in Chesterfield County Wednesday morning.
Police say the single-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Old Otterdale Road at about 11:30 a.m.
"A 2013 Ford F-150 was traveling east on Midlothian Turnpike and approaching the intersection with Old Otterdale Road when it went off the road to the right and struck several trees," said a Chesterfield Police spokesperson.
A female passenger inside the truck was transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries. The identity of the woman is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The male driver of the truck was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
