77-year-old with dementia walked away from Dinwiddie home, deputies say

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a 77-year-old man with dementia who disappeared in Dinwiddie County Sunday evening.

Wayne Barry Sadler was last seen at 6 p.m. at his home in the 8400 block of Cox Road (Route 460) in the Ford area of the county, Major W. B. Knott with the Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Office said.

"It is believed that Mr. Sadler walked away from his residence and has not been heard from since," Knott said

Sadler was last seen wearing a striped tan button-up shirt, plaid tan pajama pants and loafers.

Anyone with information about Sadler's whereabouts is urged to call Dinwiddie County Dispatch at 804-469-3755.
